Justin Metzler is a 23 year old professional triathlete from the United States. Over the past two years he has posted over 20 top-10 finishes and 7 top-3 podium finishes in major Ironman 70.3 and Challenge events. Additionally, he was named the 2014 USA Triathlon Rookie of the Year.
Justin was challenged by his father at the age of 13 to take on a local sprint triathlon and immediately fell in love with multisport.
He slowly progressed through age group ranks and in 2014, Justin took his professional racing license. He immediately began to focus on the domestic and international 70.3 circuit. 2016 was Metzler’s 10th season racing triathlon.
In 2015, Justin graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Health and Human Physiology. Currently, triathlon is Justin’s full time job as he travels around the globe toeing the line at some of the most competitive races. Metzler splits his time between Boulder, Colorado during the summer months and Clermont, Florida during the winter months. In addition to racing and training, Justin enjoys traveling, photography, videography and spending time with his girlfriend, professional triathlete Jeanni Seymour.
